It’s official – you’re online for no good reason.
You’re probably doing it right now!
A new report from the Pew Research Center found that on any given day more than half of adults age 18 to 29 go online just to have fun or pass the time.
The report found the amount of time people spend fooling around on the net correlates to the person’s age. Only 12 percent of people age 65 and over say they went online for no reason; about 27 percent of people age 50 to 64 responded in kind.
In all, 58 percent of all adults say they use the internet to burn time.
The telephone survey of 2,260 American adults was conducted from July 25 to Aug. 26.
