Can a man be allergic to his own semen? Or, at least, not compatible with it?

Yes, actually. In rare cases, men may create antibodies against their own sperm, and this is one of the many reasons a guys may have impaired fertility. An estimated one of every 10 men trying to conceive a child -roughly 2.5 million men in the US alone- are either infertile or sub fertile. Another way to look at it is that in about 40 percent of infertile couples it’s the man with the problem, in 40 percent it’s the women, and in 20 percent either both partners contribute or the cause is unknown.
